Athletics is not who you are, it’s only something you do.

Many people think being an athlete simply means getting to play under the lights, in front of amazing fanbases, and on one of the biggest stages. However, being an athlete also means playing the sport we fell in love with as kids under a microscope. The little kid inside all of us that still just wants to go out and play ball is faced with all the pressures and expectations that go alongside continually chasing our dreams as student athletes. The game hasn’t changed, but the need to impress our fanbases and prove our worth as athletes becomes prevalent. As a result, many athletes find themselves only understanding who they are within the confines of their athletic abilities. Our mission is to encourage athletes to find their identity outside of athletics, and realize that our sports do not solely identify who we are as people.
